The extendable shelf is Teflon coated non-stick and so you can put anything, from cookies to pizza, directly onto it. It is also strong enough to support an oven tray and so functions as an extra oven rack. When not using it as an oven shelf, put it it low down in the oven to catch drips and crumbs. It functions brilliantly as an oven protector that's easy to access in the oven. Simply wipe away sticky splashes, greasy deposits and burnt on spills. Being non-stick it simply wipes clean.
